We're too broke to hold elections. Instead, the state is upping withholding rates by 10%. Hooray for California.

There were no ballot issues, and the only candidates were Democrats and Republicans. So I stayed home.

Some people do what they can within conventional party lines... we had local officials and ballot issues... and even if we didn't, I'm trying to be more politically aware and make a choice, even if it is only to vote against a certain candidate... [shrug] You made a conscious (and informed) choice anyway, that's more than many can say.

We voted in the city elections for council, mayor, treasurer, etc. They typically don't identify with a party for these elections, though many used Obama in their campaigns. Looking at the election results, I don't think anything changed.

Hoped to catch you with the package. Ah well... if you email me another snailmail address, I'll send the next one more directly... [wry grin?]

Thank YOU as well. Haven't tried any yet, but since I have them with me, will have to remedy that... :)
