Thoughts on Nature in Uprooted by Naomi Novik
I just finished Uprooted by Naomi Novik and I have lots of thoughts about how nature is portrayed in the book. I think these are a bit spolier-y so I'm going to put them under a cut. (ETA: Having written this it is really very spoiler-y)

Fictional Ecology
So the book I’m reading has a moor and also some trees. I was confused for a while because moors shouldn’t have trees on them, but I eventually figured out that there is forest next to the moor. My Passover so far
Passover started Friday at sunset. I had small seder for my family on Friday evening. My mom and Edith helped with the cooking so I didn't have to do too much work. I just made a main dish (frittata) and mazto ball soup. I think people had a nice time ( Read more... ) -

Been Sick
