I was just waiting for your post - somehow I knew it was you and I recognized you, but it felt more of an energy recognition than seeing your icon and knowing it was you.

Thank you for being.

Your posts always make me smile... but they also fill me with a longing, that's never far from the surface and rises up more and more often as I get older, to live a more elemental, simple life closer to the earth... I really need to find ways to get closer to living the kind of life I want.

I wish I could taste the fresh strawberries and your apple pie.

Much joy to you.

oh no! I have not received letters! *pouts*

I did get a lovely postcard from you, however.

Don't stop trying!

Much love! Megan

I love the harvest. A group of us pressed six bushels of Apples into cider yesterday, five hours of work, but there were harvest treats to be had all around. And, of course, lots of sweet cider.

i hope you don't mind me asking about the orchard... is this your family's orchard or- how does one come to work at an apple orchard? are you WWOOFing (http://www.wwoofusa.org/index.html) or are there job openings at a certain time of the year and then you apply or...? it just really sounds like something i'd love to do.

The Pippin has been most annoying lately by waking me up in the middle of the night (a dozen nights or more now), with "gifts" of live mice for me to play with. The mouse runs around the bed squeeling; the cat runs around crashing into things trying to contain it; I run around with a towel or shirt, trying to catch it and toss it outside. Quite disturbing to the sleep cycle, obviously.i'm assuming the pippin is your cat... if so, it sounds like our kitties learned their tricks at the same school! we are up quite often in the middle of the night dealing with presents or crashing noises ( ... )
