I've been growing mine out for job interviews, so it's close to the same length. A fresh buzz may be the way I announce to classmates that I've found a placement.

i've been threatening and rhapsodizing
about chopping off my hair for months now-
but i haven't found the right moment.
i don't want to do it in anger or angst,
or as any kind of statement aside from change for the sake of change.
i'm thinking about starting slower,
shoulder length first? it's currently down to the small of my back!
letter should be to you already,
if not by tomorrow! was sent tuesday!

since the cut, i've been noticing: long hair assists in existing in All Time, while short hair assists in existing Outside Time. of course, they are just sides of the same coin, but i have been seeing things differently lately, not imbued social meaning... people, cities, and machines as moving art to be enjoyed.
