[Terezi's voice is lilting, sing-song, and she cackles madly. It's the best way to let Kanaya know she went back, after all. At least she's hit the filter.]

I don't know a thing about any package! What package?

Terezi, I assure you I am indeed very remorseful about my actions taken immediately upon resurrection, and--

--wait. I never informed you of the events that had transpired. Then you've...?

...I will bring it by shortly. It was intended to be a surprise.

Oh, yes! I know all about you now, Kanaya. I know all about you and your rainbow-drinkin' fantasies all come to life. It's okay, I will keep all of your secrets.

[He hasn't been doing so well since she's been gone; more accurately he's been a mess. The Signless and Condesce's arrivals, fighting with his friends, the revelations from Doc Scratch have all weighed on him. But worst of all has been that she never came back; he killed her and then she was droned for days. He knows droning happens often here and doesn't always mean amnesia, but it was still hard not to feel terrified and devastated that she would not come back, or that if she did, she wouldn't remember anything they went through. He doesn't know how he could possibly deal with that

[Terezi clutches tighter as if the only people in the hallway are the two of them. She nods and presses her forehead against his and she is so, so glad that he's still here, even though she feels immensely guilty about having left at all, despite the fact that it wasn't her fault. She has so many things to tell him- an apology to make for lying by omission to try to protect him, and then Scratch involved him anyway, about going back to the Veil, about what she really learned from the cueball.

But for now, she only clings to him like he's her anchor, and she tries to think of something to say, but all she manages is,]

Yeah! Yeah, I...

[She trembles a little, and her voice is small] Oh, god, Karkat.

Just to be clear, you remember everything, right?

[He tries to say it casually, almost as though it's a joke; it's clear from her reaction she does. But he needs confirmation of this so badly.]

I think so. [There are no gaps in her memory apart from the time she spent as a drone, so she nods. She knows Karkat only needs her to confirm it, so then she says, more firmly,] Yes.

[Sollux is just innocently walking to class when suddenly a wild Terezi appeared! T3R3ZI USED LICK! IT WAS SUPER-EFFECTIVE! s0llux IS NOW UNCONSCIOUS!

Well, not really. More like he wasn't expecting to be licked in the least and he is startled enough to fall over and drop all of his text books.]

[Terezi tosses her arms around him in a very awkward hug. She looks like she might cry a little, which is strange given the grin on her face.] Whoops! This is the kind of shit that happens when you don't make provisions for blind students.

Let's see. Hahaha, get it, 'let's see'? [Terezi kneels and begins trying to pick up his books for him.]

[He laughs a little, relieved that it was just Terezi.]

Glad to see you not droned anymore.

[foretastes]

And I'm glad to not-see you too! So, yeah, guess what, I went back and you kind of did that thing where you were amazingly brave and awesome and... yeah, here are your books! [god this is awkward. but, hell, she's so happy to see smell Sollux alive.]

[Gamzee's always gone out of his way to be as nice to his droned friends as he is to his real friends - partly because he can't remember half the time who's been droned and who hasn't - so he actually notices when she doesn't show up at the loser table like usual. Which means that when he sees her walking away from him at some point in the hallways, he instantly beams and tries to catch up to her amidst lots of honking so they can engage in their daily gossip (well, so she can engage her in her daily gossip while he falls asleep).]

Terezi! Chica, hold up.

[Terezi hears that voice and simply picks up the pace, clutching her books to her chest and trying to lose herself in the crowd of other students. Maybe he'll forget that she's there if she moves quick enough.]

[miraculls]

[Oh...evidently she didn't hear him? Luckily, Gamzee's in possession of a pair of ridiculously long legs, so it doesn't take him too much effort to match her speed. He also pulls out one of his louder horns and honks it happily, trying to get her attention.]

Yo, sister! Haha, where you all trying to be getting your bad self at so fast?

[foretastes]

[Where she'd normally laugh and try to grab at his horn to increase the noise, now she just goes still. Terezi can't go ignoring that, so she whips around on her heel abruptly, her cheeks flushed faintly teal, a very complicated expression on her face, and snaps at him.]
