I spent my 4th of July at Nerdapalooza in Orlando this year. It's basically a huge multi-artist show with more than 35 nerdcore hip-hop artists, and the whole shindig was done for charity to boot. Yeah, it was fun indeed. Although much like cons, large numbers of nerds clustered in a small area makes for some funk. Especially in the Florida heat. x_x

Dethklok, eh ? Ya lucky bastage. Did you come back from the show with fewer than three new bruises ?

Austin Music Hall is a split level venue. Big open area on the ground floor for the moshin, and seats up top for the fogeys like me...:)

Haha, Schaffer the Darklord! He used to come down to DC for the Counterculture Festival every year, but the bar that it was held in was closed down. I'm sure they'll find a new place for next year. He is way better live than on his albums though.

Yeah, he puts on a heck of a show. Just hearing "Clone Fucker" on the disc doesn't do it nearly as much justice as seeing it live. If he ever comes back down this way, I'll definitely hit his show up again.
