[Cain fairly swings around to see who's caught hold of him and stares up into Jack's face with more than a little distaste at being so caught.]

[There. Janine has just glided smoothly to a backwinging landing atop a low, flat roof; her wings blew away most of the snow that had settled there, but she managed to land without too great a thump. With the softly cloudy sky behind her and snow coming down in thick clumps, it even looks good. Melodramatic, maybe, but controlled.]

Hah.

[Now, what next... A single-story building with a flat roof, such as this one, is about as tall as she is. She's not sure if it's strong enough to withstand her launching off it. She'd better get to the street first. There's only one person close enough to conceivably wander into her path.]

[Jack looks up and smiles, but steps to the side to give her plenty of room.]

[Rather less graceful is this landing, which involves stretching her neck out to check that there's nothing nasty below and just sort of hopping, landing on long limbs with a thud.]

[Her neck rises into its customary gentle S-shape, and she looks down out of one eye. She's only spoken to him that time he was a woman.]

[He makes his way so that he's a bit closer to her, now that he was no longer in danger of being landed on.]

Mercy's semi-hiding out in the house, but since Jack actually lives there, it's pretty inevitable that at some point they'd run into each other.

[Of all the people he's kissed today, there's only a small handful that he would have done so without hesitation normally. Mercy is one of those. Consequently, when he runs into her, he wastes no time pulling her close and leaning in.]
