Garden State is by far the best indie flick I've seen in a long time besides maybe Talk to Her. I'm in love with Natalie Portman...or maybe her character in the film.

Today was Nick Finnegan's funeral. If you thought you knew Nick, you didn't. He wasn't the pompous jerk he appeared to be; the speeches given at the service today made me realize how strong he was and how much he really cared about people around him underneath that tough facade. My friend just told me our two former high school friends were in a really bad accident last night. One died and another is brain damaged. Holy shit. They were both in my classes. I can't belive this.

We haven't even gotten to college yet.
