Hokkaido ramblings - Jan-Feb 2016

Finally here to talk abt my Hokkaido trip~
The main focus of our trip was:
1. Ski
2. Winter/Snow fest
So we have other to-do:
1. Asahikawa zoo
2. Biei
3. Things in Sapporo: Beer museum, chocolate factory, folk village, clock tower etc.
We took a midnight and by the time we reached Sapporo station... we decided to have lunch before checking in.
This is one of the best butadon I ever ate! So yummmmmmy~
After which we headed to Chocolate Factory/Shiroi Koibito... it includes a small museum with the factory and a huge outdoor area.

It also has a cafe with superb view of the mountain but we were too jaded to queue.
We finally went back to the hotel and decided to just eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner.
This started my scallop craze~
I think this is the only day I woke up before the sun is out. π
We went to collect our tickets. Not to realise tt the time she gave was the time the bus departed (coz we booked a later time slot). So we ended up missing tt bus and took the original time slot. π

For dinner we went Abucha2 which was really delicious too. But just a little bit too exp. π
Tried skiing the first time.
Had 4 hrs of school + 1 hr of personal. It's alr too much for me. LOL.
Met up with ahming & bf for dinner and we had ramen~ π
We didn't do anything the nxt day because I was too tired. LOL. Ok lah, 1 of them continued skiing.
So we had a really expensive over-ordered lunch. And watching the snow storm came and went.

Went for a walk in the morning nxt day and then we're back in Sapporo.
Went to Otaru the nxt day (I think).
This is the port canal. Didn't manage to walk as much as I can because we ended up do too much shopping and eating. π π
We had this 7-color ice cream... and no they are not sisters. LOL.
Bought this for my boss (I think I said before) for his bday + Xmas.
Ika noodles which I ate twice.
And a monkey shrine that they built. There's banana offering!
Nxt day we woke up damn freaking early for this. ππππ
Seriously too cute baby.

This is the zoo we went. ππ before we rushed to Biei for...
That's how far we were. Can't rmb the name now.
The main one was this... sevenstar tree.
Had soup curry tt day for dinner to warm ourselves. ππ and probably the only non-bento meal for the day.
Other than the chocolate factory, we went to Sapporo Beer Museum.
We each ordered a tasting set and I ended up have to help kisa to drink.
We had Genghis Khan lamb grill for dinner! So niceeeeeeee~
In the late morning, we had brunch at this restaurant in Nijo market.
1. Mini don (crab + salmon)
2. King Crab
3. Scallop
4. Squid
5. Fish
The food was so goooooood.
Highlight of the trip: Sapporo snow fest!

Then we went to the Odori site for more ice sculptures.

After which, we rushed to Otaru for the night version.
I couldn't help it but to make another trip to Ohiso on the day we flew to eat it one more time. This time round I tried their cooked fish (equally delicious) and a crab leg again!
Hokkaido has been really fun despite gg with someone I never travel tgt before and someone I never meet before.
It felt great to be in winter since 2009.
Food was awesome, seafood is so fresh and miso soup is damn awesome.
