We had a seemingly relaxing yet so busy trip. After reaching taoyuan airport, we took a bus to xin dian and then transferred to another bus to wulai. By the time we reached our hotel it was already near 8pm. :o

It was all worth it though. The dinner provided by the hotel is super delicious. And because there isn't much nearby to eat too. LOL.

The breakfast was really good too. And they have a nice alfresco area.

Another reason for me to choose this hotel is because of the ensuite onsen! :D

To be honest, there isn't much to do in Wulai... the 'amusement park' is closed due to damages by typhoon. There's a museum and a short shopping street... that's all! oh! that's a bridge~ we just spent time walking around and that's enough for us.

After 2 nights in Wulai, we took the bus + mrt + train to hualien (another tiring journey). And made our way to our minsu who bought us zha dan cong you bing! best thing on Earth!

I took the chance to buy my shoes that night! My soles dropped off at Changi airport. -.- #fml and I didn't bring any other shoes other than boots and IT WAS SO HOT! I had to wear my sis's loafers with my ankle socks. -.-

white and shoelace-less! woohoo!

Next day we hired a driver to bring us around...

Went for whale paddling in liyu lake:

It was tiring but the view was awesome!

guess where we went next?

which was too hot as said by the driver

And then off we go to taroko!

one of my favs:

After 2 nights (told you we had a busy schedule), we went to stay a night in Silk Place in Taroko. MY TREAT! *money flew away*

we had time to walk around nearby before dinner (8 course meal):

Our dinner:

Next day we continue with our driver to visit a little bit of Taroko before heading to cingjing via he huan shan

in He Huan Shan:

The driver recommended somewhere for dinner in cingjing. He drove us there after we checked in and put our luggages in the hotel room even though the time was up.

after that we decided to visit swiss garden at night:

and realised that we can visit the garden in the day time the next day.

But of course we headed to qing qing cao yuan first

And had lunch at paper kingdom

and we were back in swiss garden!

Had dinner at a steamboat place and this is my cheese pot!

The next day, we then took a cab down to taichung and high speed rail to taipei.

Gu Gong

which was too crowded but i like the garden beside it.

The duck that behaved like a dog

And of coz we went to the zoo to see yuan zai who is so huge already!

Baby red pandas but i didn't get a good shot :(

We then took the cable car which we couldn't the previous time we came to taiwan because of bad weather

Spent a good hour or so having tea while my dad had his meal. LOL.

And this marked the end of my family trip last year.

It was our 3rd family trip and so I have gotten used to it. Enjoyed it myself a lot. I think we went Taiwan again because my dad wanted to. We probably can make another trip to visit southern part of taiwan. But before that, maybe Bhutan and somewhere in Europe? :D
