the book was written during WWII its not totally proven but most people say it was based on it, Jack's character represents Hitler and his group is like the Nazi's, the Island is the world, Ralph and his group are the Allies, Simon represents a God like figure, and Piggy represents Innocents.. thought u would like to know..
