lamenting the disparity in pay between men and women. This one tells us that "Corporations Pay Women CFOs 16 Percent Less Than Men". My answer is so what? Is that supposed to be some sort of injustice? Let's apply some logic

They have NEVER had a female work in the woodshop as a full time employee of that department.
I make a little better than HALF their average starting pay.
I have BEGGED to work in the shop.
I must really fucking SUCK at SANDING for them to not take me up on that offer.

At my shit job, the theory is that they don't want to have to modify their behavior or the "culture" of the woodshop to avoid potential lawsuits of having delicate feminine ears around. I don't really see any other signs to make me think they give a rat's ass if they get sued for anything so I something else is going on. OH- and also-- there are NO black female employees. That is so weird to me, but they say that black women never apply. I guess they don't want to do factory work.

THERE ARE HUGE DOUBLE STANDARDS. And it isn't just about gender, the same exists around being open about ones sexuality, being obviously from another culture, having a differnt skin colour and ist not jsut in the west. Go to the 'far east' and see how many cmpanies are run by 'westerners' and how many of those companies are run by people who got that position simply because they have a penis
