so i worked a whopping 3.5hr shift today from 6-930 and my sales goal for the day was $700. that is just insane specially since i didnt even make my first sale until after 8. it was ridiculous, the mall has been so dead lately, well at least it has been when i have been working ( Read more... )

okay... so what happens if you don't hit your goal? like is there any punishment?

no real punishment but if i continually miss my goal it is ground for termination

but that's not fair... cuz what if it's always slow... like days like this particular day and when you only had 3 hours to work. like $700 isn't ALL that much... i mean.. shoes are pretty much $100 each these days.. . so like that's only $7 pairs of shoes. but like.. is EVERYONE'S goal the same? like if you had 5 employees on and each's goal was $700... that's insane! i could see it being for the whole day. but not a tiny 3 hr shift!

well there is an overall daily goal and then it gets split up between the ppl working that day, and since it was a monday and not many ppl work that day everyones totals are a lot higher then on a day on the weekend, but yeah it still sucks, but i doubt ill get canned since i am the sock selling man!

i popped in a couple of times but no one was home and then i was working this weekend, perhaps i shall try again morrow
