I know exactly how you feel. Both of my closest guy friends from college are now married, and several of the girls I knew from Carson Newman are also married. Just recently, a girl that I used to be really close to got married to a guy she'd been dating for about a year or so. It can get kind of depressing at times I guess, and you wonder why you haven't been so lucky, but like you said: we all live different lives for a reason. It could be that you are just not at the point in your life where you would even be able to handle something like that. I mean, you're going to Chicago for a while right? You have school and career and future-related things to worry about right now. And besides, you can always go with the "sunday school answer" to this and tell yourself that God has other plans for you right now and when it is the right time, then He will make marriage and all that good stuff accessible to you
( ... )
Yeah-its good to have friends who are still single to make me feel better, lol. Its funny though because that's how my friends have changed so much. When people get married they just aren't up to go and hang out whenever so you have to find others to hang out with, or just do school work...which is what i'm attempting to do before hitting the road. My sister is sick so she rescheduled my hair appt for tomorrow :-(. But yes, I do choose the sunday school answer and say it's just not my time yet. I'm way too self absorbed to be married right now, lol; I don't like to work too much around other peoples schedules because I do know what I want to do until I graduate at least. Then I'll be lost again, lol. God's plans are sometimes different than our own though and I know He knows a bit more than I do, hehehe. So, I place my trust in Him. Then I know I won't go wrong.
