I agree 100% with your assessment of the romantic scenes between Bruce and Natasha. Mark Ruffalo's comments about Bruce acting as the pursued love interest seem super correct, the more I think about it. I wish that Whedon's & Co. had gone a different route. :S

That said, I agree that there was enough fun stuff to make up for it. :)
