Actually, the final four episodes aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim (at 3:00 in the morning) along with the rest of the series. Some of my friends called me dedicated. Others called me insane.

But I have to agree with you, it is one of the very, very few animes that doesn't have the "BUT WE MIGHT COME OUT WITH A SECOND SEASON!" feeling to it. Several mangas I've read have been like that (Magic Knight Rayearth, Realbout Highschool) but only two animes that I can remember" Wolf's Rain and G Gundam. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, get the soundtrack if you can!

Unfortunately, here in the UK our anime is limited to just Toonami only, and even then, its 99% cruddy american-made 'anime'. Not all of it is bad, but its just not the same. Megas XLR is funny, One Piece is alright I guess, Samurai Jack is good but its not anime.... but they have a terrible Transformers cartoon, "Big O", Beyblade and the like. Count yourselves lucky out there! :P ( ... )

Wow, you're right. I'm now suddenly more thankful for Trigun and YuGiOh! GX. I liked Megas XLR, but thought it got repetitive after a while. I am a fan of One Piece, and so is my younger sibling, probably more so that me.

I like endings that don't leave you with answers. They might leave you with questions, with concerns and yearnings, but they leave you with hope. That, to me, is an artful ending. When the last twenty seconds or so showed what it did, it left me, at the end, brimming over with hope for a better world. It doesn't have to be a perfect world, but it can be a better one.

*sighs* Yes, check out the soundtrack. That thing is the musical score to my life. If you liked the ending particularly, I think you will like the music a lot. It's not elaborate, but it's true and deep and clear and strong, like the story itself. Yes'm check it out.

Beyblade... I remember when that show was cool. Now it suck @$$. Oh well.

Watch it again, have more fun with it! I'm still really glad you liked it!

Well, I still have to expose my (not-entirely) innocent younger brother to this. He'll adore it, Toboe looks quite a bit like him, particularly the hairstyle, although the personalities differ a bit, they have the same demeanor.

I still feel the ending was a touch too hazy for my liking, if there was some extra little elaboration on it, it might have felt that extra bit more complete. Sometimes an ending that provides solid answers is called for, sometimes it NEEDS to be artful like in Wolfs Rain, but even small, vague moments that dont conclusively say anything, but provide that bit more closure for the viewer, can really turn an awesome ending into a brain-explodingly brilliant ending. Shame it only got awesome from me, tsk tsk tsk. ;)
Then again, maybe im being too critical, I -am- still going through the withdrawal you get after a painfully powerful story.

*le sigh*

I'll try to remember to pounce you in MSN, i'll beat you over the head with my interpretation. It did leave a few nagging little questions, but it was a lot more artfully handled than most anime.
