[Everything they said, about the future in the Veil, about what's waiting for her if (when) she gets sent back... it's true. Her moirail really will be her murderer, and now at least part of him is acknowledging it.]
[Kanaya draws her knees tight against her chest, staring at her Dreamberry's blank screen in the darkness of her bedroom. She knows she should feel angry about this, that as a proper troll she should be flying into a rage and rushing upstairs to attack her future murderer and change what's to come. But...]
[But Eri. Poor, poor Eri.]
[Silently, she gets out of bed and pads through the darkened hive, floating up the stairs to his room as silently as a ghost. She pauses at the door... should she knock? Will he turn her away if she does? Would she honor that request if he did?]
[No, don't know, and no.]
[Kanaya opens his door and lets herself in, closing it quietly behind her before going and sitting at the edge of his bed, perching there with her back to him.]
[Lloyd doesn't understand anything that happened in that dream, but the feelings of confusion, loneliness, guilt, and fear that come with it actually help him right now. Instead of sounding irritated, he just sounds... uncomfortable. It's hard to hate someone when their dream makes you feel like that.
[He's really not in the mood for Lloyd with all these conflicting emotions and feelings and GOD what did all that mean? He... He has a feeling he knows but--fuck.]
... What do you want, Lloyd? [His usual venom isn't there, he just sounds... distant.]
... Yes you do, don't try and lie to me. You yourself said you wanted shit black, despite me hawin a kismesis, don't try and take that shit back when you'we already made it clear what you're after.
[Pshaw! Be true about your feelings Lloyd, jeez! Not to mention, he isn't really in the mood for this.]

I just wanted you to know that I don't... hate you.
[It's not a lie. It's not a lie because hate means something different to trolls. He just has to keep telling himself that.]
