asdfasdf

I cheated and looked at your sws post before I saw the episode, and I interpreted it CORRECTLY which made me so happy.

I adore Juliet/Sawyer. They looked SO happy. And they're both SO HOT. Their babies would be adorable. Their babies will TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

I feel -pretty- sure that Sawyer isn't going to be a dick and go for Kate again, for two reasons: One, he's been with Juliet for THREE YEARS, which is WAY longer than he was ever with Kate. Even if he wasn't ~with~ Juliet all that time, they were still together. Two, Juliet & Sawyer and Jack & Kate have the whole "I've got your back" thing going on, and I think that's a motif LOST isn't going to disrupt. Both both women have expressed that they have their man's back, which Jack and Sawyer both seem to appreciate. Sure, Juliet never broke Jack's trust, but Kate -did- screw Sawyer over a lot.

Basically I really want to see Jack and Kate's butthurt when they see that both Juliet and Sawyer have moved on and have WON.

I know, I LOVED that piece at the end. When he came home. It was so simple and CUTE. And GUH.

I really hope you're right about Sawyer. Jules deserves a good man, and Sawyer is that.

And I want to see that too. And see Kate and Jack never work things out.

I disagree with this comment and post. Keep in mind that I'm not bashing, just seeing this from another angle.

Sawyer is not a good man. He never was. While I think that he is an interesting character, he is not a good person. He even admits it. Sawyer looked at Kate at the end of the ep and basically went "Jules who?" He was mooning over Kate all season and suddenly (yes, I know technically three years but it really is only one episode) he not only says the l word to Juliet, says he's over Kate, then right after sees Kate and starts having second thoughts. Jack is flawed in so many ways, but one thing he has always been is sincere, something that someone who "lies for a living" doesn't have. This new "soft Sawyer" is either doing it for his own benefit, or is pretty out of character with what the writers have been feeding us from day one, a trend that they seem to like as of late.

Hm, I interpreted Sawyer's look at the end of the episode differently. I definitely wish he hadn't lied to Juliet about where he was going, but at that point, when he's looking at Kate, I didn't see it as a "omg there's the girl I love" look but more as a "shit, this is going to complicate things" look.

and as for this being out of character or new.... there was a three year difference. And I also think we've seen Sawyer develop a lot in the past few seasons, going from a completely independent and manipulative bastard to becoming honestly caring and worried about the others, with little or no gain for himself. He's been pretty consistent about putting himself out there to help others in his group, without really worrying about what he's going to get out of it, for the past season or so.
