so, how about that tidal wave? the one that wiped out about a hundred and twenty thousand people in India. call me paranoid, but i wouldn't be surprised to learn that this was only the first of many signs that this planet is crumbling from the inside out. it's sad, yes, but its not so bad when you begin to consider things with finite values ( Read more... )

you know bry, that's an interesting thought... well the earth crumbling; i'd rather it be geological disasters than war or crazy violence or nuclear chemicals or radiation... but knowing when you're supposed to die if it is fate related lit a small fire in my thought process of this eveing. do you think you would live differently?

i think i would live differently for sure. i don't think anybody could continue living normally after they found out how their lives would come to an end.

they showed this father carrying his dead little boy, probably no more then 4 years old, and rigor mortis set in so he was all stiff when he was holding him.
it was sad.

why do they need to show that stuff over and over again? the only sadder than that image is the fact that people are using it for ratings. makes me ill.

the tidal wave was that bad...especially when you had to worry about friends who were on break in the south before our last expedition in Thailand. Scary. Ok...the point of this is that I don't know how else to contact you and i was wondering if you'd be able to help me on my SIP (think undergraduate thesis). It's going to be on music subcultures...(really, it's called a way to get the school to pay for me to go to shows). Anyhow, I wanted to know if you'd be willing to sit down and talk with me sometime...cause i will need about thirty bazillion interviews (we're talking sometime over the next 8 months)...it's more than allright if you don't want to...i just figured you'd be a good person to ask. *SMILE*--Th(V)eronica
