so some people are currently 'occupying' part of my university for gaza. it just makes me really uncomfortable. i'm not particularly pro-israel, though i do feel as though i have ties to it and the like since some of my family lives there. i don't think either side is right. my solution: find a place with no inhabitants, put all the nut jobs there ( Read more... )

that's weird.. what do you mean occupying? most of america, as usual, is too wrapped up in the economic crisis to think too much of what's going on over there. yay ameri-centrism! how is the good ol' uk? minus the gaza thing, obvi.

they're like... staging a protest by being in one of the university buildings and like... have posters up on the outside of it and shiz. and the UK is good, thanks.

so is it just basically a sit-in that they are calling an occupation? apparently this is happening at NYU too and my friends and i are baffled by it. we were trying to figure out exactly what "occupation" means.

also- is it just about gaza or are they about other things too? i found a website for the nyu one and it appears to be not only about gaza but also about tuition and unions.

it's weird... they're just like chillin' in a building that's used twice a year basically but have banners/posters outside of it and shiz. and this one's just about gaza really... some of the things i agree with, but some i don't... and the general attitude makes it a bit awk for me anyway, as i'm sure you'll understand hahaha. so yeah, good times!
