So, say someone was thinking about trying to start a vegetable garden in their room.
Anyone have any suggestions on what that guy should do? Or want to help out, maybe? Figure I probably need to build some sort of area for it and fill it with dirt at least, but....
[He trails off.]
Also, for the new people, I'm Gunnar Dottir, but you can call me Gunn

[Gunn sounds pretty pleased. It's been a while since he talked to Gertie, so hearing her is cool beans.]
Wooden box, water and... fertilizer. [He repeats the last word, the way it should be said.]
Do you know where I can find seeds?
[She knows how to use the text if he needs to repeat it. Still, he speaks slowly and concisely.]

[Not that she can really help much, but Riley is opinionated and Gunn is welcome to her point of view. Sometimes whether he wants it or not.]
Haven't talked to you in a while but I've gotta say, that's not exactly the most confident introduction I've heard. Surprising really, considering the source.
[Don't think that Riley's forgotten the level of intensity he displayed the last time she saw him.]

[Not innuendo, that. And then he snorts.]
Most of the people introducing themselves on the comms do something on the ship. Cook, clean, stuff like that. I don't help like that.
[Yet.]
So it feels a little self-important to be introducing myself, unless I go as "the guy to have a beer with."

[She's a busy girl, after all.]
And there's nothing wrong with introducing yourself as "the guy to have a beer with," when there as many people who drink on board as there are. Speaking of which, we should have one again sometime when you're not up to your ass in fertilizer.

[No, it doesn't.]
Well, maybe I don't want to have a beer with everyone on the ship. Can't spread myself too thin, after all.
[A chuckle.]

...Figured I could give it a shot. Never know when the food might run out.

[A considering pause.]
... You think it could?

[He pauses to think about it too.]
...Well, I don't know. We could always have a repeat of the Jennifer thing too, and I don't wanna be surviving on sushi again either.

Everyone's important in their own ways.

That's probably true, but some people don't exactly see it at first glance.
[Apparently he is beer and vegetable guy.]
