BTW, I forgot to mention just how much Britney Spears sounds like Cyndi Lauper at times on her debut album. I on think the third track it is most pronounced. But really, if someone had played the recording for me and told me it was Cyndi, I would have believed them.

I think Britney Spear's current sound is simply because she's crazy produced, edited and the auto-tune.
