Starting down the costumer's road

Well, I've spent most of yesterday and today RE-researching my costume prospects. I've had ideas of doing a fantasy costume (Steampunk, if you will) for a couple of years, but haven't made any significant effort toward it. Until today. I bit the bullet (okay, I had a little money and it was burning a hole) and headed over to Joann's this evening
