3. Janis and Leon have an affair and baby in secret, and Janis tells Gael it is his.

You have to understand…. Janis was drunk

Very, very drunk. But then… everyone was. The firewiskey seemed to be endless, and the music ever loud… they actually didn’t remember it, neither one.
That was the first time.

The second time, well, there was alcohol, but not to that extent.
Janis and Leon were sitting on the couch, he reading, resting his head on her lap, she, playing with his hair.

“I am pretty sure I’m not interested… at all. Pretty sure.”
Janis sighed, this was hardly the first time the conversation had come up, though she knew he didn’t have many he could breach the conversation with, and she was used to it.

“Let me see your hand.” She held hers out, waiting.

“why?” He sat up a little, eyebrows furrowed together. “what are you going to do?”

“Just let me see it.” He placed his hand in hers, and without a blink she slipped it under her shirt. Letting her hand drop away, she cocked an eyebrow, “There, do you like that?”

His face turned red, but his hand stays still, “Well… erm… it’s… uhm… nice?”
This was his brother’s girlfriend, his fiancé. In a few months, she would be his sister-in-law and here he was- coping a feel.
“so, if I blew you… do you think you’d like that? Because I will Leon Shaw- if it helps you decide if you only like boys or not- so help me…”
That was enough for him to pull his hand away, and sit up. “Janis- I thought you- I mean… you’re with Gael and…”
“I’m not going to go crazy on you Leon, but you need to know, and who else can you trust?”
That was second time.

Others happened, much in the same manner, Gael trusted his brother, trusted Janis, and trusted them together. Besides, his brother wasn’t into girls, and he loved her. They wouldn’t do anything like that.

It was the night before Gael and Janis’ wedding and she was flipping out, pacing the floor. Leon just say on the bed, head buried in his hands.

“What do you mean- what…” He just stared, shocked, as if he had forgotten all the basics of anatomy. Of reproduction.
“Look- just… don’t tell him, ever okay? I’m just going to say it’s his…” She laughed weakly, looking over a photo of the three of them, she holding onto Gael, Leon being attacked by a fly. It was one of her favorites… “it’s not like you don’t look alike or anything. He’ll never know. Okay? Never.”

“right- I… Jesus Janis…”

“you think I want this? I… no. I’m sorry Leon- I shouldn’t have… just… go.

I’ll see you tomorrow.”
