*It's 7 a.m. It's 7 a.m. and Sniper is currently in the kitchen grabbing a beer. No this is not unusual in any way. He was actually hoping he could time this so that he'd be in the kitchen while the drone!mom was waking up the kids and then out again before she came back down. But then he turns around and stares.

That's... that's not either of his drone kids.*

*First impressions are key afterall, at least he hasn't gone for his knife.*

(You're getting sniffles and whimpers now Sniper. But she tries her best for you, and takes a deep breath before she manages to reply.)

The Joker. He's HERE.

(She sounds really afraid. As if whoever it is she's talking about is going to appear sometime soon.)

*Wow, okay, he is NOT equipped to handle a young girl crying and sniffling on the other side of a door. Also he doesn't know what she's talking about.*

The who is here? Wait.. here where?

*He's looking around suspiciously wondering if whoever she's talking about is actually IN the house. Not that he's terribly concerned, he has his gun, his bow, a folding knife, and whoever it is ISN'T a Spy, so no worries.*

*He's getting kind of sick of conversing with a closed door here..*

(The door creaks open, just slightly, and Tara peeps out, looking really terrified.)

(She's got an incredulous look on her face that's mixed with PURE TERROR FRESH TODAY.)

(And that's when she catches herself. Immediately she cowers again.)

*He pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration. This is more than he's ready to deal with. And this is going to be a day to day thing? He's almost missing the drone daughter.*

Jus' start over an' tell me what's going on.

(She takes a deep breath. A few actually, just to calm her nerves down, before she launches into a quiet explanation.)

The Joker is one of Gotham City's worst criminals. He's dangerous. No one knows why he calls himself that, but he always makes jokes at every crime scene. He...he hurts and kills people, just because he thinks it's funny. He's not like the regular villains either. Like...in Jump City, most of them are just bank robbers and they do hold-ups. The Joker...he's not like that. Everything he does...it's all just for making people suffer, or just for, for a...a joke.

Usually back home, there's the Batman to stop him. He's like a super hero, and he's the only one who can take down the Joker. But we don't have him here...

*Give him a minute to process this. He vaguely knows who Batman is, and he's seen the guy around town a little. But a reader of comics Sniper is not. At least those of the non-Saxton Hale variety.*

Th' guy in the cape who I chased off th' roof? He's around somewhere. So a guy who kills people an' thinks is funny is here an' yer holed up in your room?

Someone will jus' shoot him an' you won't have t' worry about it. Hell, I'll go shoot him if it'll keep you from screamin' loike that.

*Seriously. What's the big deal here?*

You don't get it. You don't just SHOOT the Joker. He shoots you. He's, he's always got a plan, no matter how crazy he is. No one has ever managed to bring him down. The Batman can, but he always gets out of Arkham Asylum in the end. And if you make him mad, he'll come after you. Not just you, but your family and your friends. He'll torture them.

(Yes, when people tell horror stories? They tell Joker stories.)

Are...are you sure the Batman's here?

(If he is, then there's a spark of hope for Mayfield yet.)

I think so. Or he was. Haven't seen him lately and I sleep on th' roof so I think I would 'ave if he's still gallivanting around on the roofs.

There a particular reason you think this Joker guy is after you? And some reason that you think hidin' in yer room is gonna keep him out?

If he's here though, then hopefully he'll be able to take care of him. The Joker goes after everyone. Whenever he does something, it usually involves a lot of people, and they could be anyone. No one is safe from him.

(She draws her knees closer to her chest and shivers.)
