I tried the purple last night. The purple mattress is NOT for curvy, fat, side sleepers. Worst sleep I've had in a long time and given that sleeping on the floor has not been good for me, that's saying something ( Read more... )

Right now he's thinking it's better than what we had and we'll keep it, but he'll keep evaluating it for the 100 days.

Bummer that it didn't work out. I appreciate your reviews, since I'm looking for a mattress too.

I was thinking of trying the purple, but if it didn't work for you, it probably wouldn't for me either. I'm also thinking of trying the saatva, which has a soft option, which seems like it might be better for side sleeping.

Ordering the bed online for a trial period without getting to test it out first seems way high pressure though compared to lying on a bunch of beds in a department store showroom.

The purple might work for you because you're not obese. The technology is good for people with small surface area pressure points.

What I've found from all my mattress shopping is that visiting stores can tell you what mattresses aren't a good fit for you, but won't do a good job at knowing what will actually feel good after a nights sleep or even 6 months of sleep. Our last King mattress was great for a little while and now it's not as much. I don't suppose you need a king and would like to take it off our hands? It was super expensive. We'll also be getting rid of a 11-year old sleep number bed too, but it's likely past it's days of usefulness.
