ActionWaking up to an apocalyptic world is never the best thing to wake up to. Especially when she gets the nagging feeling that she's seen something like this before. The first day had not been too bad though; she'd just been wandering around town trying to look for friends or the Titans, or even her housemate, Sniper. She could worry about why

Tara wasn't the only one that was hungry.

Considering all the flying she had been doing, Utsuho was doubly so.

She had spotted this particular gaggle of ghouls not too long ago; distracted, chasing something else. The hell raven arced around until she was almost straight ahead of the humans--then half closes her wings in a shallow dive.

That smooth-skinned human better get out of the way...

(Unfortunately Tara caught her foot in some rubble and tripped. Or maybe she's just finally exhausted all the energy she had. Whatever it is, she's taken a fall. And that bleeding knee that she has now will be nothing if those cannibals get to her...

...she backs away slowly on the ground, afraid.)

[Oh, good for the other human.

Not so good for the others, as Utsuho's dive is now unimpeded.

She smashes into the first cannibal like a bulldozer, catching another with her wing with enough force to dash its brains open on the ground--let alone what happened to the first one (think paste). The third, however, was only buffeted by her passage--stunned, perhaps, but not disabled.

Okuu had already landed, momentarily stunned herself by the impact. This form wasn't quite used to all those forces at work just yet.]

(Whatever that had just happened was nothing more than a blur to Tara. It was just too fast for her to process at the moment. But she does notice the third cannibal heading for the winged girl with the shotgun.

She doesn't have time to think, instinct just propels her forward. She grabs a rock from the ground and smashes it against the head; hard. The cannibal stumbles and drops the shotgun, but he's far from down.)

[Mike was tired, he'd been on the move most of the day, but a hero's work was never done, jumping out of a pile of rubble with a cinder block at the pack as they moved by there was the thick meaty crump of cinder hitting skull as he moved, thunking one then tossing it at the other and rolling to the side to avoid the shotgun fire.]

I really REALLY REALLY HATE this end of the world bullshit! Are you okay girl?

Y-yeah. I think so...

(She swayed on her feet, swallowing. She had been so scared...)

Find some place to hide then. I think I can at least look tastier than you.

[He gives a thumbs up and picks up another piece of debris]

(She hesitates. A moment ago, she had been all alone. She had been so scared that she was the only one left.

But now, there was someone else out there. Fighting for her. He looked as tired as she did too.

She glared at the cannibals, before she picked up a rock nearby and hurled it at one of them.)

We'll go together. I'm not going to let you get eaten instead of me!

Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa --

[Almost like a monkey's screech, a high-pitched cry echoes through the air moments before a gangly boy bounds from a pile of rubble to attach to a cannibal's face. Beast transformations or not, he had trained under Robin's tutelage day in and day out.

Unable to shoot in fear of hitting their companion, the cannibals slow as Beast Boy rolls back and forth on the ground with the one he'd landed on.]

Terra! Run!

[Whoops. Wrong name. Oh, well.]

(She glances back and sees him fighting the cannibals. He may be doing a good job fighting them off, but he doesn't have his powers...

She can't just leave him alone.

So while Beastboy is distracting them, Tara picks up a piece of wood and smacks one of the cannibals on the head with all she had.)

I'm not leaving you behind!

[shapechanger]

Don't be stupid; they've got guns! Terra!

[And with a rush of adrenaline at the thought that she would get shot, Beast Boy rams his foot into the cannibal's face and wrenches his shot gun away.]

Don't anyone move! I... I'll shoot!

[forgotten_titan]

I don't care! I don't want you to get hurt because of me!

(Now that he has the gun though, she'll pick up her sack of scavenged items and inch closer to him.)

Beastboy...come on, let's go. You don't...you don't have to shoot them.

(She's never heard of a Titan KILLING anyone, to be honest. And she doesn't want to see it either.)

[sarcasmandbooks]

[Like Beast Boy. Missing powers or not, if you were a Titan you got fighting normally drilled into you by Robin. Which is why a cannibal is being kicked hard in the side, falling to the ground.]

Get out of here!

[forgotten_titan]

(She looks at Raven. The Titan is doing a good job fighting off the cannibals...Tara knows she should listen to Raven and get out.

But yet...she finds herself picking up a rock. It's heavy, and with her depleted strength it's hard for her to even lift it. But somehow, she does, and she hurls it straight at one of the cannibals. Miraculously it smacks the person right on the head.)

I can't just leave you!

[sarcasmandbooks]

Get.to.the.house.

Now!

[Raven dodges a bullet, dropping and rolling out of the way. And then jumping up to knock another of the men to the ground.]

No. Not without you!

(She grabs another rock and throws it at a cannibal. Unfortunately, it misses, and instead attracts them to her location. She's in trouble now. One of them start lurching forward to her. She screams and ducks as he swipes her head, narrowly missing the blow.)

[Greed jumps down out of a tree, grimacing slightly at the jolt as his feet his the pavement.]

Go on girly, I can handle them.

[He's got a weapon from one of the cannibals he took out earlier.]

Greed!

(She watches as he turns to face her attackers. She wants to run, but she doesn't want to leave him. Quickly she picks up a stone from nearby and hurls it at a cannibal. At the very least, she can distract them while he takes them down.

Her brain is screaming at her to get out, but something inside her told her otherwise; that she NEEDED to do this. That she needed to...to...

...to save him?)

[He turns to look at her for a moment when the stone takes out one of the creatures.]

At least stick close, if you're not gonna go save yourself.

O-ok!

(She shifts behind him, and continues to pelt stones and other stuff lying on the ground at the cannibals. Hopefully Greed will be able to take out the rest of them.)
