[Summary] Vampire Stories: Brothers
I watched Vampire Stories: Brothers with Yanagishita Tomo, Suzuki Airi, & Kato Kazuki. :) Generally a typical vampire story but there are wonderful vampires. *.* Japanese movies are only about an hour long which is pretty short. Movies tend to be about 2 hours. At least everything is to the point. :) I only understand a little Japanese, but I am pretty sure I got the point of the movie. I translated some things and wrote down what I knew and ones I am pretty sure but not exact. Beware of ambiguity because I can't understand all of it and bits and pieces of some sentences. There may be some parts that you might not understand because I suck at explaining but other parts that will get. :D
Corrections and help to make sense of this nonsense would be great! :D

1st Day:
Its starts off with Sei and Midori having a barbeque with 6 other friends in some place in nature next to the river and you see glimpses of the other movie Vampire Stories: Chasers, with characters of Baba Tooru and Tanaka Reina (haven't seen this movie yet). They plan on staying in a cabin in the woods together. Then there is Ai getting chased by several vampires and eventually kicks their asses because he's a badass vampire! Sei senses something then suddenly faints.
Sei and Midori are riding a bus back home and just worry about how he feels. Sei falls asleep and has a dream of when he was little, he was with his brother, Ai, and father(?) and meets Midori and her mother. Basically how they became a family. Then another of them older and Sei goes to get his brother who has blood dripping on his mouth and shouts, "Don't look!" and Sei turns away and Ai disappears.Then it shows 4 of his friends in the cabin and here comes Ai outside the cabin and goes into vampire mode, with cool-looking eyes. ;D
2nd Day:
Scene changes with Midori and Sei at home. Midori is washing her face in the bathroom and finds that Sei roughed up his toothbrush so abnormally. Sei is watching TV and on the news shows his friends that they were killed. The police rings all of a sudden and they are investigated by the police. Sei is all sad and is like, "Why did they die?" :( Remember that there were 6 friends and only four of them died. (What happened to the two others? Nobody knows... Watch Chasers!! :D) After the investigation they walk home solemnly and Sei says, "Nothing changed. Everyone died. But we all laughed together." Though I am not sure about the nothing changed part.
When they arrive home Ai comes up from behind and calls out Sei's name and says, "It's been a while." Then casually walks home like he was never gone. Midori is surprised to see him again, of course, and she calls him, "Ai-nii," older brother. Midori is all glad to see him but Sei is all like silent (and not enjoying his company) then says, "I was worried about you." (I think he says he disappeared a year ago) and yells, "What have you been doing!?" and all Ai says is, "I'm sorry for making you worry." Then Sei leaves and Midori tells Ai that Sei is just upset that his friends died (killedbyacertainsomeone). BlahBlahBlah and Ai is sort of back in the family and Midori says, "Welcome back," (Okaeri) to him.
Sei comes into the living room and goes to where Midori is who is looking in cookbooks trying to find what to cook and tries to cheer up Sei but he just gets upset. They talk a little and Sei makes up with Midori, apologizes to her. Another scene comes up with Ai appearing so awesome in some dark place with dudes bowing to him and calling him Ai-sama. Not really sure exactly what the underling said but told Ai to be careful.
3rd Day:
Sei has a dream having fun with all his friends and soon is left alone, suddenly his name is called (Ai's voice) and just wakes up from his dream. He comes out to the dining room and Midori is cooking. The doorbell rings and it is Ai at the door. Ai says that he's back (Tadaima) and Midori says welcome back (Okaeri). :) Ai and Sei are awkwardly sitting at the table and Midori awkwardly says that the food is almost ready. More awkwardness... Then Midori looks in the refrigerator and says something... and runs away. Sei has this little I don't wanna be alone with that guy thing. Then Sei and Ai talk about something... -____- Somewhere in there Sei says, "I'm happy that you're back but please explain to me properly." Ai replies with some unfulfilling answer, Midori comes back, and Sei yells with something I'm not sure how to translate but something like, "Don't joke with me!"
Their food is served and they start eating. Then a wonderful scene of Sei eating and everyone awkwardly staring at Sei put a crap load of soy sauce(?) in his pasta. Midori tries to bring them together by bringing out the albums of when they were little. She takes the next album and says that it shows a birthday cake that says 20 years old on it and it got all serious because that was probably when Ai disappeared.
*stares at Tomo*
Sei knocks on Ai's door and is Ai standing in the dark. Sei says something... -___- and Ai says, "Yeah, I promise." Sei finally accepts Ai and says, "Welcome back!" When he closes the door, Ai says, "A little longer, Sei" (I think? >.<) and his underling ninjas outside of his window and says, "I found them." They both disappear from the room and another scene shows two vampires on their guard and Ai says something cool probably and his eyes get all awesomely colored and scene change! to Ai in the shower that is around his height.
4th Day:
Then the family is walking and Midori gets them to take pictures together. Happy moments and when Sei was taking a picture of Ai and Midori, and Ai puts his hand on Midori's shoulder, which Sei doesn't like... Sei suddenly hears a loud sound that scares him and turns around to find that someone has dropped their cellphone (hmmm... strong hearing hmmm...)
All three of them eat ice cream together and Sei has a blood tempting moment, him staring at Midori's neck. Scene change and all of them are walking home and Ai stops and says, "Go home ahead of me." He leaves and goes to some tunnel with some creepers behind but then Ai comes from behind and says, "Cut it out!" and "Right now I feel bad. Get ready." (?) Then awesome eyes and teeth!! ;D
*stares at Tomo eating Ice Cream*
Sei and Midori are sitting at home and Sei is staring at Midori's neck and he gets up and leaves. Ai is killing them and cruelly pulls out one dude's fang and another dude runs away. Sei hears a screaming to see what it is and finds Ai stepping on the guy who ran away, now in some other building. Then the great moment Sei finds out that they are Vampire, and Ai shows off his cool eyes. ;D He states the different points that make him a Vampire and talks about one year ago (?) when he disappeared and blahblahblah and about 'that day' when all of Sei's friends died, Sei finds out that his brother killed them all. Ai wants them to be together but then Sei runs away in confusion and stuff.
5th Day:
Sei is outside and checking out people's necks and a nice lady asks if he's alright but he's stares at her neck and runs away again kinda feeling sick because he needs blood. Pondering over life on a bridge and saying, "Damn it. What should I do? Stop kidding around." Midori is waiting at home for Sei and he comes back and she is all like, "Sei, where were you? Where is Ai-nii? I couldn't find you! Hey, tell me." Sei grabs her on the shoulders and pushes her to the wall and the light go out. *gasp* I think he tries biting her but fails and breaks down. He is crying and Midori is there for him. "Are you alright?" Something...... & I think she says that they'll be together.
Sei crying some more in his room and he receives a text message. & I am not sure who it is from since I can't read Japanese characters but I think its from Midori. Sei comes out and Midori is sleeping on the dining table and he has a flashback of him walking into a conversation Midori is having with her parents. I think she says, "I am staying here with Sei. He is waiting for Ai-nii. I am also." Sei says, "Thank you." and leaves.
He goes out to find Ai who is standing outside somewhere and they talk... & Ai says, "Are you done here," (I think...) Something about never letting go of Ai's hands... About when Sei was little and nothing will change. Something... Vampires... "I was worried. From now on, I'll always be with you... I'll protect you. It's a promise. I won't let you go(?). There's no more time." & Ai goes off believing Sei will follow after, BUT I think Sei says he doesn't want to become a vampire. "WHAT?" Sei and Ai says something... then Sei says something about killing and living. Ai says, "You don't understand a thing," but Sei responds back, "You don't understand!" Something about Midori... "I am going back. Midori is waiting." & Sei is walking away. Ai yells back saying something about living for Sei's sake. Oh no, Ai is angry...
6th Day:
Awesome sad-ish dramatic music. Sei walking down the street awesomely. Ai looking up like a cool guy. Midori with her head on the table. She looks at a text message and gets up and she is making a cake. Sei thinking about Midori... and starts running. Midori is setting the table and someone opens the door... "Ai-nii." He doesn't have a happy face. Sei comes back home eventually and he sees a girl sitting on the couch,
Sei: "Midori?"
Girl: "I was waiting."
Sei: "Hisako?" (Tanaka Reina in Chasers)
"You're all right?"
"What wr-"
Girl: "Imouto-san (little sister), is cute, isn't she."
Sei: "Midori... Where is Midori?"
Girl: "She's not here. I'll show you(?)."
*awesome Vampire teleportation*
Hisako (Girl) says things to him and she says, "Ai-sama."
Sei all confused, "Ai.... -sama?"
Sei and Hisako walking to wherever, Sei asks if someone is alright and I believe that is the character Baba Tooru plays who was in the beginning also. Scene shows some sketch looking building. Hisako says, "This is how far I am taking you. Ai-sama is waiting. So is cute Imouto-san (little sister). Sei, I'm jealous of you." & she disappears. Sei runs into the building and it starts to storm. Inside the building, all dark and awesome purple light. Sei finds Ai waiting there.
Sei: "Where is Midori? Where is she?"
Ai: "Don't worry. I didn't lay a hand on her."
Ai looks back and Midori comes out with a worried look. He says that he told Midori about everthing... Ai looks at a pocket watch and says, "It's time." It shows Sei and all of a sudden, a pounding, signaling Sei's temptation for blood. He kinda looks like he's choking but he is rolling on the ground in need for blood. Midori is worried and comes up to him. "We'll always be together, right? That's why, drink my blood." Sei says he doesn't want to be a vampire, he doesn't want to hurt Midori. He tells her to leave and walks away. Ai is kinda angry, "There's no more time." Teleports and slashed Midori in the back.
Sei looks back and goes to Midori and is worried of course. Midori is dying and Ai wants Sei to drink her blood. Sei is conflicted and is crying and yells with awesome sharp teeth. He drinks her blood.
7th Day:
Sei finishes drinking and there is blood dripping from his mouth and he gets cool eyes. Midori says, "Pretty." and you can see the bite mark on her. She is relieved and dies... Sei yells Midori's name. Ai just says, "It's too bad." I think Sei thought she would be a vampire too and hugs her tightly. :( I think Ai says, "You still have me. Don't worry, you'll forget soon." Sei gets angry and yells, "Don't fuck with me!" and some sonic wave things comes from his mouth coming at Ai and he ducks, "This power..." Sei attacks Ai and they have a fight scene. Along the way, Ai pushes Sei to the wall and says, "We are vampire. This is our fate!" He wants Sei to understand and be with him. He says that, "Sei is nice. For that reason, throw away your humanity. I've decided to protect you." Sei tries to walk away but Ai comes in front of him. "I only have you." He grabs his shoulder, "We're brothers..." all sadly. Sei pushes Ai down and is on top of him. "Nii-san, but isn't Midori our sibling?" Ai grabs Sei's arm, "But to me, only you are, Sei." Ai tells Sei to kill him. Drink his blood and he'll die or something like that.
BL!? Stands for Brotherly Love, duhh. (lame)
Sei is about to drink Ai's blood, but he has a nice little flashback of when they were little and Ai was so nice. Sei stops trying to drink his blood. He tells his brother to live and he'll live alone. Sei walks away and Ai gets up and yells, "Wait Sei!" all desperate sounding. But Sei has magical powers in his hands and does that cool sonic wave thing and scratches Ai's face. "Sayonara Nii-san." Sei takes Midori like a princess and walks away. Ai doesn't want Sei to leave him. He is crying and falls to his knees in sadness. :(
*Credits and epic music*
1 Year Later:
Sei, all dressed in black, walks in the night like a boss. Then a creeper in raggy clothes comes from behind and tries to assault Sei, running up to him. But then Sei disappears and reappears behind him and quickly slashes him with his hands.
Can you handle this badassery?
Interesting movie, right? In the end, no one is really happy. A way to brighten your day! Hope you enjoyed this, and hope it makes sense. ;D
