Their Eyes Were Watching God is pretty good. It's about a girl who wants love, and goes through two shit marriages, and she finally finds someone she loves, and she has to kill him.

It's pretty good, if you don't mind all the ebonics.

Also, The Wide Sargasso Sea sounds pretty good. I haven't read it yet, but it's about this guy, who has a crazy wife, and he keeps her in the attic. And he likes this other lady, and has an affair with her, or something. And the entire story is told from the crazy wifes point of view.

the electric kool aid acid test by tom wolfe

trippy and at times confusing, but oh so very lovely

it fueled my ken kesey obsession

once you're done with that i HIGHLY recommend kesey's novels:
one flew over the cuckoo nest
sometimes a great notion

i just sounded like such a dork, but it's true, i am and uh... you're the one with me on your friends list.. heh
