3 Lord of the Rings haikus

Mar 03, 2011 16:45

Three haikus that I wrote some time ago for a challenge at themiddleearth.

In case you don't know, a "haiku" is a japanese form of poetry, mostly consisting of three lines with 5/7/5 syllables.

1.
(eowyn)

fair hair in the wind
a white, slender silhouette;
beauty and strong will

2.
(frodo)

voices calling him
dead faces in the water;
the wish to let go

3.
(grima)

so misunderstood.
the pain of love and hatred
the wish to touch her
