Awww, poor baby D: ! Well, poor babies, really, both Fei Long and the pup. This is so harsh, yet so realistic at the same time.

I especially like the juxtaposition between Fei Long routinely killing innocent human beings as his job, and his difficulty at killing a single animal: that shows so well what kind of screwed-up world he's been raised in. The reverse parallel with love doesn't help, that he has to resort to finding love in an animal, because he can't find it in humans :/ How tragic is this?!

And the end is so sad, as Fei Long digs up a grave, both for the little fellow, and for his own hopes of ever being loved :(

That was a really nice read, thanks for sharing :) I noticed a few grammar/tenses mistakes here and there, but since I'm ESL myself, I won't offer to beta on this, sorry :P

Also, I gotta say: I love Yan Tzui, and Faye does too, if I remember correctly ;) I squealed when I saw his name in the header :D Poor guy is so impossibly messed-up...

Thanks for taking your time to come read this. I would love as much feedback as possible so I know what to improve on. I seriously have no idea how I came up with something like that. Like I said, I pulled this idea right out of my butt. I think I am going to use this kinds of short pieces as lead-ins to my dream plotline (but I don't think I will be writing it anytime soon tho). So pretty much I am just playing around with different ideas at the moment.

That was my favorite line. I have no control over the twisted and weird idea I pull out of my butt and basically I build the entire piece around that line. *giggles*

I won't offer to beta on this, sorry :PHaha no worries. I knew there would be mistakes going into this. For the life of me, I can't help but to screw up on grammar and tenses mistakes. Maybe I can eventually finds someone to beta it for me haha. But until then, your eyes will have

You know what? If Asami, Mik and Yoh (yes even Yoh) wasn't as sexy or as domniating as they are. I wouldn't mind reading a few YanXFei fics at all. I like his character a lot actually, but I am just too caught up in the Asami/Mik/YohXFei relationship that I don't think about him as much as I should.

Well, I do know that there are a few fics for that pairing out there, but they are quite rare. I'm not into explicit YanxFei personally, but I've been told there is at least one excellent one, though I can't remember neither the title nor the author. Maybe Faye or someone else would remember?

I see YanXFei more as a speical, expensive midnight dessert that you need once in a very long while than anything else. It is like a snack that you can munch on when you are tired of waiting for an amazing AsamiXFei fic that has been discontinued, or a MikXFei fic that ended the chapter in a cliffhanger or a YohXFei fic that you are still trying to wrap your finger around. Haha.

When I saw the warnings I clutched my stomach because I'm really sensitive about this thing.
But the title seemed interesting and I like Yan as a villain, in addition I'm a secret Yan x Fei fan too...

But I'm grateful to myself that I didn't leave this fic unread :).In my opinion you wrote down amazingly how cruel life Fei has to choose.
I find the atmosphere of this fic sad and truly beautiful, and (sometimes) I'm fond of sad fics.

By the way I think Yan is way the most dominant man in the VF series. Asami is probably not as agressive and cruel as Yan. and poor Feilong just continues what his brother taught him, that's why he's like that I guess.

Thank you so much for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope the 'animal brutality' part wasn't too bad. One thing special about Fei is that no matter how cruel his world is, he still manages to move on one way or another. I personally don't mind sad fics either, I feel like sad fics can stir emotions better than happy ones.

By the way I think Yan is way the most dominant man in the VF series.

It might be because of the ways they each treat Fei Long. To me, Yan will do anything in his power to bind Fei to himself, evening if it means crushing Fei's spirit. However, Asami on the other hand, is generally curel and agressive yet to a certain point, he showed genuine care for Fei. And being an AsamiXFei fan myself, that's how I like to look at it. I love Yan as well, he is an awesome character, therefore I don't mind seeing/writing YanXFei fics *giggles*

This was a really good story! My heart broke for Fei Long and his puppy =( I like how you had Yan control his brother by having Fei take away something he cherished. I think YA needs to bring back Yan!
