Out of curiosity... do you keep Shavuot on the traditional date (counting 50 days from Passover) because you just follow the printed Hebrew calendars or because you've studied the Scriptures and really feel that's the way to do it?

I ask because my opinion from studying the Scriptures is that you start counting on the first first day of the week after the first Shabbat in the Feast of Unleavened Bread (aka "The Feast of First Fruits" and the day Messiah rose), making Shavuot always on a Sunday (well, Saturday night to Sunday night). We celebrated Sunday afternoon.

wow. I thought I had already replied to this.
I have not fully studied about counting the omer and which day to keep Shavuot. all the local congregations do it then, so I have not been taught otherwise. I am respectful of both attempts to observe this
G-d mandated Holy day.
