Rain. Damnit. Like my day isn't bad enough already.

Running through mostly empty streets with his jacket pulled up over his head, Teukie cursed quietly to himself as rain poured down from gray skies, forming large puddles at the drains by the road side. I could have taken a taxi home. But no, I had to take the scenic route. In fairness, it had been pretty nice earlier. But Korean weather was fickle, and he knew that. And was now thoroughly paying for ignoring that fact.

His formerly flawlessly styled hair was matted down to his head, trickles of liquid streaming down his face. His jacket and the t-shirt underneath were now almost completely soaked through, clinging to his frame like a second, notably freezing cold skin.

Screw it. It's not working. He let his jacket fall back down onto his shoulders, forgoing whatever little protection from the elements it may have been offering, to just focus on running without falling over. He wasn't far now. The apartment was, what..... just a few streets away? Yeah, he recognized a few of the buildings nearby, squinting through the sheets of rain to make out shop signs.

Taking another corner, then another, moving as fast as he could, he felt the squelch of water in his shoes every time his foot came down. Stupid fabric shoes, absolutely no use in the rain. Chills went through him from strong gusts of wind, and for not the first time since the rain had started bucketing down, he cast an envious thought over ShinDong and his layer of protection against freezing temperatures. Teuk suddenly felt very exposed; maybe the guys were right. Maybe he should gain some weight.

Finally. Reaching the towering apartment block where Super Junior resided, he pushed open the door and forgot to stop moving so quickly. A mistake as, it turned out. One soaking foot met tiled floors, and he went sprawling, onto his back, with a loud crash, echoing in the empty parlor. Letting out a hiss of pain, he worked himself back onto his feet, and just thanked god above that no one had seen that. Moving considerably slower and more carefully, he made his way over to the elevator.

Come on. Come on. He crossed his arms and rubbed his hands up and down them, hoping to conserve some kind of warmth, moving from one foot to the other as he waited for the elevator to descend to him. When the doors finally pinged open, he hurried inside and hit the button for his floor, still shuffling to keep heat.

Had the elevator always take this long? And if so, why hadn't anyone been here to seed the thing up to more than a snail's pace? He tried to fill the wait with thoughts of nice, dry clothes and a large, steaming cup of tea, but that only made the wait seem longer.

When the doors finally slid open, and he stepped out onto his floor, hurrying to the apartment door. Now, where were his keys, where were his keys.... He patted both pockets of his jeans, then the back pockets, then the ones of his jacket. Nothing but his wallet. But that was okay, long as someone was home.

Rapping his knuckles against the door, a few times, he called in. “Hello? Anyone in there?” No answer. A few more, louder knocks. No response. A few very loud bangs. Nothing doing. A few very sharp kicks and angry curses, but still nothing. On a bad day, forgotten keys were snapping point. Give a heavy sigh, he punched the door a few more times, and settled onto the ground, feeling the water in his jeans soaking into the carpet beneath him. Putting his face in his hands, he cursed again. “Fucking keys.”

Why did everything always go wrong at once? He had slept in, had no breakfast, had a crappy meal out instead, got caught in the rain, locked outside his apartment and .... and.... he gave a loud sneeze. Oh my god, if I get the flu I'm gonna .... he left the threat to the air unfinished. What the hell did the universe have against him today? Stupid keys! Stupid fucking missing keys!

“Teukie?” He looked, and somehow, Siwon had managed to come from the elevator and up the corridor without him noticing. Concern was painted all over the younger man's face. A few drops of water were already fading into his jumper. Clearly, he hadn't been in the rain for very long. Probably had the sense to have taken a car.

“You're all wet.” No duh, Teuk thought sarcastically. Still, his anger couldn't carry over to the younger man, not with the look of worry on Siwon's face. “Forgot my keys.” he mumbled back. Oh, he could still be grouchy though. Siwon nodded his understanding and quickly moved to unlock the apartment with his won set. Teuk stood and followed the other in as the lock clicked open.

He was about to make for his room but Siwon stood in front of him. “No, stay there. You'll get the floor all wet.” He moved away down the entrance hall as Teuk kicked off his shoes. “But Siwon...” he really didn't care about the floor, not in his current foul mood. “Stay.” Siwon insisted as he disappeared around the corner. What, so he was a dog now? Despite himself, he stayed where the other had told him.

A few moments later, Siwon hurried back toward him, a towel slung over a hand. “Thank y-” Teuk was cut off mid-statement as said towel was slung over his head and Siwon began to rub it over him. “I think I can dry myself off, you know.” Teuk said, rolling his eyes, as the towel moved down to his neck. Siwon made no action which suggested he had heard. “Aish, you're so cold.” The man really did have a knack for pointing out the obvious, Teuk decided.

Warm arms suddenly wrapped around him, the contrast to the chill that lay on his skin driving the breath out of Teuk in a sudden exhale. “Siwon, your clothes...” the water would seep from his own into the other's pretty quickly, but Siwon just shushed him and began dragging the other bodily toward the sitting room. Teuk could've offered further argument, but the other man was just too warm. His body refused to give it up. Without so much as a moment's further hesitation, he hugged the other back, eager to leech off as much heat as possible.

He was led toward the couch, turned and Siwon tipped him onto it. “The leather...” Teuk winced. Just another short sharp “Shh” from Siwon, as the other grabbed a blanket and lay down beside him, putting an arm over him and nuzzling into his neck. Wait. What? The hug prior, that had been just that, a hug, nothing more, Siwon's natural caring streak coming to the forefront. This was more intimate. But that was impossible. And yet, no doubt about it, Siwon was definitely nuzzling into his neck.

A soft kiss to his skin followed. And another. “Siwon...?” Teuk said, more than a little uncertainly. One more meeting of lips in skin, and Siwon looked up at him. “What?” His face was all innocence. Like Teuk was gonna buy that. “Sorry, sorry... it's just,” Siwon brushed his lips against his cheek”... are you aware of how good you look soaked to the skin?” the other smile was all warmth.

Yep, something was definitely up with the universe today. First getting up late, then the rain out of blue skies, forgetting his keys, and now this? Choi Siwon, Mister Gorgeous, all over him? Apparently, all the crap earlier had been the universe evening things out for this. Siwon, not receiving any complaints, placed one soft kiss on Teuk's lips, and then returned to pattering kisses all over his neck, and Teuk couldn't help but smile. Hard to hold onto fury under these circumstances. Honestly, he had been glad of the extra sleep this morning, even if it had made him late. And skipping breakfast? Well, at least he knew never to eat at that cafe again. And as for forgotten keys.... “Now,” Siwon began, kissing at the other's jawline, “let's get you out of these wet clothes.”

Thank Christ he had forgotten those keys.
