Ali's training camp was open to all, and after his workout he'd shower, dress and appear outside, where he'd take visitors' kids, one after another, put them on his knee, and pose for parents' photos. The kids invariably sensed Ali's core sweetness, kindness, authenticity. What's more, my UPI shots were taken early on a day when there were no visitors, and no other photographers. The Champ put on a show, just for me. An amazing performance.
