Jobs have changed, people have changed, I have changed. I am having these overwhelming feelings of comfort to be posting again. So lets just see how it goes

Ha! Why aren't you inspiring indeed? Did I not react to you in the same exact way? Do I not always end up hanging with the depressed women? All beautiful-but-down-on-themselves women inspire my caregiver instinct. I want to make you all see that you are gorgeous, and none of you believe me. You're all the same! HA!
Seriously, I am not inspired by her depression. That is just a shame. And it is a shame that it is so common. More American women are depressed and down on themselves than otherwise, it seems to me. And it also usually seems to me that your men do not deserve you. And that you take the shit they say too seriously. Men just make meaningless noises with their mouths, and women react to it like it's the judgement of God.
(Example: What men say: "Wow, you eat a lot!" What it really means: "Woof! Woof! Woof!")
Final comment: You do it, too. You are attracted to tragedy, not to success. Witness the people you choose. You choose the people that you think need you. You are just like me, in this regard.
You already do turn all the heads in the room, but you are so used to it that you don't even notice. This is what I mean about all you gorgeous-but-down-on-yourself women. You don't even see yourself right. Frizzy hair, indeed! You have Inara's hair.
But maybe you see why I like to run. The first part of it is hell, but then you zone out and think about who you'd like to be, and pretty soon, you've covered miles and it's not even hard anymore.
I think about being an elf, like Legolas. I could run for miles and never pant, walk on top of the snow and leave no print, walk on leaves and make no sound, cross a river on a tight rope, shoot arrows and never miss, live for centuries and never grow old--and always have excellent hair.

THanks for mentioning me in your journal. I like it. I also like that you wrote about Jen Walker. Means we mean something. Your post about me made me laugh and groan, and I guess that means you struck home.
