I actually had to stop watching that video after a bit, it was upsetting me that much. A baby's arm *can* get pulled out of its socket, it does happen.
That was just frightening... some people are such incredible dumbasses.
When I was a kid, my dad and uncle used to toss me in the air and catch me. Had me giggling like crazy, they say. Nowadays, that would be totally unimaginable.
I wonder how much our standards of protectiveness are cultural? That said, there is really no excuse for fwinging a kid around mere inches from death.
Yeah, I couldn't watch more than about a third of it either.
My dad used to toss us up a little and catch us, and we loved it. I think the important part is that he was using the torso/trunk area as his basis, not our arms/legs that could be pulled right out of their sockets. Babies are pretty solid around the middle.
Oh my god I had to stop watching... I had to go hug Toshi... If he had let got, or anything... That is so dangerous. Yeah I used to get tossed in the air by my dad but he held us in the torso.
