Character name: Leah Clearwater
Character age (must be feasible for either junior or senior year in high school): 19, I think?
Personality: The Meredith Brooks song "Bitch" was written for Leah. Literally, because that is what she is - a bitch in human form and a werebitch when she transforms. Jacob called her a "harpy" and she seems to live up to that. She enjoys making people's lives miserable because if she's miserable, everyone else should be too. Ironic that her body temperature runs at 109 because she's a frigid ice queen - after Sam imprinted on her cousin Emily, she swore off getting involved with any other man. She is, of course, loyal to her packmates but likes to show off; she's always got something to prove. She is gorgeous and she knows it, as she gets asked out a lot but enjoys turning people down. Personality: Kaylen is fun-loving and usually easy-going but with a volatile temper. She loves to go running and will do just about anything to stay outdoors. And is willing to try anything new and exciting, like swimming with sharks! She doesn't really mind vampires, but tends to avoid them all the same.
Backhistory: Kaylen was born August 16 in the City of Manchester, England. She first found out about her werewolf heritage at the age of seven when she caught her older brother (7 years her senior) and older sister (4 years her senior) sneaking back into the house one night in their wolf form. I carefully pressed the pencil to the paper, trying not to startle the swans on the pond. It's a lovely landscape, really. It's one of those things I draw because I want to remember it. I'd rather sketch than paint; for me, sketching is more raw-looking; gets to the core of the subject.
But maybe that's just me. It could be one of my far-fetched opinions. But I rather have my own original thoughts than parrot back someone else's. I carefully draw in the last few details before I have to leave. As I stand up, the swans take flight, and I can't help but smile at their grace. The simple beauty of them.
Third-person sample:
Savannah sat at her piano, hitting a few random keys before deciding to play some Beethoven. Usually she would hit random keys until she could compose a song herself, or she'd stare out the window and wait until a melody filled her mind, inspired by the world around her.

Personality/Backhistory: Julian Osbourne was born into the Savannah, Georgia Middle Class in 1801. The son of a Methodist Minister, he grew up in the church. It was this, and his odd temperment, leading him to frequent cemeteries to look at the names on the tombstones for fun, that caused him to be disliked. At the age of 16 he became involved with the occult, becoming obsessed with Southern Voodoo he soon became antagonistic of Christianity while developing an understanding of white and black ( ... )

And that's basically the reason why vampires in every myth have killed people, even right up into Meyer a little bit...they wanted to "be one" with the person that they loved. ;)
