Going the extra mile...or few characters on the keyboard...

So, I've mentioned the RP that I actually get to engage in while playing CoH.  We have run, running RP missions and plotlines for others in the SG or VG.  There are probably about a dozen people who float in and out of the entertainment.  I have fun with the RP, doing a lot with describing facial expressions, body language, etc.  It's my way of ( Read more... )

Its always nice to get that kind of feedback. *smiles* I'm glad you're still having fun with the game.

*hugs* Much looking forward to New Years. *smiles*

I am, but many of the people I play with are talking about Champions Online and are waiting, drooling, over that. They can't wait to get off CoH, which they feel is dying a slow death. (shrugs) I guess I'm still too new to it to have that attitude, but I'll most likely follow if that's where "everyone" goes.

And definitely...definitely.

That's awesome. I've felt that many of the visual based mmo's lack the in depth rp that I found in mushes. I know its partly because there is nothing to a mush besides roleplay but the visual aspect of the game really seems to take people's eyes off the chat box.

Glad you are finding good stuff though, hope the trend only improves with time. As the old saying goes "More cool people would play Larp if more cool people played Larp." ccept course, talking rp. :)

Yeah, it helps that I also type pretty fast, so I can keep up commentary during the fights and such. I'm not usually the toon that pauses in the middle of the mob and then dies as I try to say something witty (grins).

As above, people talk like CoH is dying slowly, but I don't know that I'm seeing that. People are coming and going, and I expect that's natural. A lot, though, seem to be awaiting Champions. I suppose we'll see how it goes.

I've been watching Champions myself. I know a few people who play CoH/V but there is something about the gameplay (when I last tried it a few months back) that still didn't let the game click for me. I'm hoping Champs does better because I do love my supers.

Well, CoH/V has been fun for me, but it's also the first of this sort I've really gotten in to. I suppose we'll see what happens with Champions. I just hope it's not getting over-hyped...
