Somehow, I've become the mother of a 21 year old.

I have no idea how that happened, since it seems to me that she was 3 years old, just yesterday.

Happy Birthday ScienceValkyre, may your path always be as clear to you as it seems now.
Much love,
Mommy

I felt like that about my son. It really does seem like the other day that he was toddling and asking "why?" about everything.

Congratulations, Mommy. This is a big day for you, too. :)

I'm confused, then. How old is your daughter? Or do you only feel this way with the oldest?

Genevieve is nineteen, and Trevor is twenty-two. I feel a little like that with her, but not as much. It could be that her basic personality is the same as it was when she was little. Trevor has changed so much, he's sometimes hard to recognize as the little boy he once was.

She still goes around asking "why?" I suspect that she will probably spend the rest of her life in the lab, its where she seems happiest. Or at least where she seems happiest of the places that she is willing to talk to her parents about!

It is a big day. 21, free and independant, and the tuition bills still go to Mommy and Daddy. :-)

Its an amazing thing to think that I survived to this point.
