I've thought a lot about this. Yes, if it were the only way out of a situation. If I were being attacked and there was no other way to extricate myself, I would physically do what I needed to in order to get away, though I would try to do minimal damage.
Huh. It's a little strange to me that you had to think about this - I've always thought self-defense comes first. May I ask why this wasn't an easy question?
It wasn't an easy question because, as a Quaker, I'm committed to non-violence. Some believe that true non-violence includes not acting violently even in self-defense.
I seriously tried to find the name and googled multiple times, but I just couldn't find it! I guess it would have to be the stuffed animal that I got when I was about nine, and I still keep in bed. (I've even caught Luke snuggling it once or twice after I've gotten up!)
