I have to admit that I am not 100% happy with this piece. I'm disappointed in myself because I had been very into writing it and pleased with what I wrote until I went back and reread the first part and thought that it was crap. It was then hard to get my muse going again because I felt so badly about it. Blah. I guess it takes awhile to get back ( Read more... )

Thank you for reading and commenting! I keep going back and forth on whether or not I like the piece, but comments like yours definitely make me feel good about it. And I know, poor Aidan. He's by far my most tortured soul.

So when will the novel be published? Just wondering when I'll get myself kicked out of Barnes & Nobles for screaming about how I know the person that wrote the newest best seller.

*blushes again* Aww, shucks. I dunno, though. Being a procrastinator and all, it could be years. Then you might be so old that they'll think you're having a heart attack instead. ^_-

Going through all the entries right now, but I wanted to stop and say (with a disclaimer that I am aware I'm biased - I don't like splitting narrative up with lyrics) that your piece is so great that I feel the lyrics sort of detract from it, you know? Just thought I'd note that. :)

I'll definitely think about that for future entries. I just used the lyrics because they are what inspired me to write this piece. I couldn't think of anything for eternity until I came upon the opposite. Also, Aidan's entire character was created from "Carry On Wayward Son" which is another Kansas song so I felt it was appropriate. But thank you for your input.
