well, ive made a decision. Ive decided that sleeping is not going to be as valuable as organizing and restoring my previously thought of broken ipod. Apparently a sharp screw driver and a folded in half business card is worth a few hundred dollars. who knew

the hard drive (according to internet) has 'loose parts' inside and makes it stick and click when starting up. so someone had the bright idea to just stick something inbetween the metal case and the hard drive to compress it slightly so the 'loose parts' arent loose anymore and it should/will work. pretty nuts, i cannot believe it worked.
