Sometimes I think that suicide is one of those things that, once you put it on the table, you can't take it off. You introduce it as an option, and it opens up a possibility you can never quite shake considering.

The fact that I have never really considered suicide I think is the strongest proof I have that, on a deep and abiding level, I really do believe in an afterlife. What good would it do if I would just wake up somewhere else?
