Rules For Fandom Eligibility
Requirements For A Fandom To Qualify For Forsaken
1) Must be either:
A. Television series. It may be a cancelled series or one that is still on the air.
OR
B. Film series with a minimum of three films in the series - a single film is far too limiting.
2) Presently we do NOT accept fandoms based on music, celebrities, manga, reality television, or books.
3) The fandom proposed shouldn't have more than two or three active general awards for the fandom - awards geared to a specific "ship" don't count. For example, Harry Potter, BTVS & Angel wouldn't qualify for the Forsaken Fandom Awards because there are many awards that already exist for them and the aren't a Forsaken Fandom.
4) Not a requirement so much as a disclaimer. So far every fandom request that's been presented has been approved. However, the moderators reserve the right to refuse any fandom which is in poor taste- ie promotes racism, religious intolerance, is anti-glbt, or anything else that defeats the whole point of the Forsaken Fandom Awards bringing people together in an enjoyable way and recognizing their talent.
5) After nominations begin in a round, NO further fandoms will be added. Any fandom suggestions that are made after nominations begin will be included in the following round of awards.
6) New fandoms that qualify are given a probationary opportunity to be included. At the end of the round, the moderators will assess how well the fandom did as far as participation, interest, etc. We reserve the right to include or exclude fandoms after this trial period. You may request us to reconsider two rounds or one year later in this case.
