November 24 (Thursday) ~ At the local park (2:02 p.m.)

It was nice to have a holiday every once in awhile, not having to be in school for the day Kira thought of sleeping in and just relaxing. His mother had other ideas as she woke him up and kicked him out

Hikaru stopped as she saw Kira and made her way toward him. "Shimada-san?" she said softly, saying it far enough away not to startle him too much. It was a rare day off for her due to the holiday, so she didn't have any dance classes or work. Her father was sleeping when she left, though she'd found out that he'd ended up drinking with his boss instead of another relapse, so she'd decided to leave him to sleep and made her way to the park to get some fresh air.

She gave Kira one of her gentle smiles, though it was a bit uncertain in case he didn't want to be interupted.

Kira laid his sketch book as he looked up at Hikaru. "Tsukita-chan." he said in acknowledgment with a smile. "How are you today?"

"I'm well." Hikaru answered, "How about you?"

"A bit cold but other then that I am pretty fine." he answered back.

Jiro cut through the park on his way to shopping center of the district. He was heading out to pick up some supplies, one being replacement guitar strings for Ax. The golden spiral cords hadn't lasted half as long as Jiro had suspected.

Shuddering, Jiro pulled his jacket closer to his body. Jiro and Ax hadn't done anything special for Thanksgiving since moving in with their uncle. While the food was delicious, there was really no point in having a large supper when there were so few of them there to eat it. He didn't mind having the day off from school though.

Hikaru waved at Jiro as she and Kira passed, though she didn't call out a greeting. She did offer him a bright smile though.

Jiro returned the wave and smile as he continued towards his task on hand.
