In this case, by knowing somebody who got a similar job there and could shepherd my resume through to the hiring staffing agency.

Also though, it's on their website, along with many other jobs. Including some that are computer stuff.

Indeed. Though this starts as just receiving, but many companies hire through this sort of method.
