Chapter 2
It was 27th August 2009,5.59am in the morning.
The girl was studying for her last paper and he was taking a nap.
In about 5 hours time,they were going out for a movie.
She gave him a morning call after she finished her cigarette.
"Hello? you needa wake up,"she told him through the phone.
She giggled when she heard him trying to speak with his groggy,muffled voice.
"Okayokay, go back to sleep alright.I'll call you later," she replied to his mumblings.
"Okay.You take a rest aright?" he said before her hung up.
She continued studying after putting down the phone.
10 mins later,her phone rang.
"Why are you awake?" she smiled when she heard his voice.This time, it sounded energetic.
"I didn't wanna disappoint you," his words were simple yet powerful.
At around 9 am, she walked into the study hall with the thought of their date later.
Major distraction.
She saw him alr at his seat.
She had noticed that he liked to stretch his arms sideways when he was sitting on the chair.And she liked the way he did that.
They bought their movie tickets for "The Proposal".
She pulled him to the movie posters after they paid.
"Let's watch Gamers together the next time!" she pointed to one of the posters excitedly.
"Really? You wanna watch it with me?" he asked her.
"Yeah,I've been wanting to watch it since I watched the awesome trailer, " she replied.
"I'm going to withdraw money fo lunch ,"he said as they walked out of the cinema.
"Can't you let me pay?!" she was almost pissed off.
"No..it's the first date," he explained.
"Alright alright," she gave in.
The guy liked her waist.
He liked holding it as they walked.But was difficult to.
They headed to Pepper Lunch for lunch.
They ordered the same meal-Teriyaki chicken.
They sat by the corner and had their meal.
"You're really pretty.Really," he stopped in between his meal to say this several times.
Gosh, was this guy sweet talking or what...
"Uh, I'm not," she smiles shyly.
He kept looking at her and she didn't dare to make eye contact at times.
This guy had the power of making her behave like a silly little girl.
It was kinda enjoyable and annoying at the same time.
His mother telephoned him to ask about the exam paper.
"Will you come to my house for dinner one day?" he asked the girl after he hung up the phone.
"I don't know...It's just that parents don't like me, I guess," she was unsure.
"Nonsense.My mum will like you.They will like you.You can speak very well," he immediately say.
Both of them did not finish their food.
"I feel like puking.My stomach ain't feeling well," she told him.
"Don't eat already,alright?Don't force yourself.Drink some soup.I feel very full too," he responded.
They headed back to the cinema.
On the way there, he said he was feeling cold.
"Can you stand closer to me?"he asked her.
"Why?Cold?Can't believe you're so weak," she laughed.
"I tend to get cold easily," he told her as he shivered.
"Is it? Aiyo," she stood closer to him.Very much closer.
They whispered to each other,he rubbed her cold hands against his and he hugged her very tightly throughout the movie.
Weird.He ain't supposed to be touchy.He appeared as a decent guy.
But she didn't give it much thought.
She thought it was quite a nice way of showing his affection.
But then again, he seemded a little clingy and a like a small boy who needed protection.
You wouldn't would have tell if you'd seen him.
They walked over around after the movie and she remembered him telling her about how he carried her ex-girlfriend to the cab when she was having menstrual cramps.
How could anyone not cherish someone like him?
That perfect smile, those expressive eyes and that heart of his.....
They had Mango+strawberry fruit juice while waiting for her best friend.
"She's been looking forward to meet you," she told him.
"I'm afraid I won't meet her expectations," he said with a low voice.
"No! You won't alright!" she was suprised by what he said.
This guy had everything going on but he didn't know it.
She remembered how worried he was before meeting her best friend.
She found it hilarious but at the same time very sweet.
It showed that he cared.
That night, he messaged her :
" I don't mind about your past.Everyone has a past and although I've only known you for few days but i feel that you have captured my heart and I may ask for your hand soon."
This girl was feeling lost.
Just by spending a few days with him could make her feel like she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
She didn't want this to happen because of her past failed relationships which also lead to trust issues.
What if he was just like them?
This guy was too good to be true.
She felt that someone like her didn't deserve such a wonderful person.
She felt like she shouldn't "stain" his life.
He also seemed decent and somehow ,innocent.
And wtf was she....?
