I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I was originally thinking of making Baek the dryad but Jongdae just fits the image too well!! The prompt songs were all really sad and angsty so I figured the prompter wanted something angsty but I tried my best to make it fun and cute too!! You're right though, Baekhyun finally woke up when he left Jongdae :( Thank you for reading! :)

I absolutely adored this. There was a certain stilled beauty that I found really fitting with your theme of the story :)

All characters in your fic are amazing: squirrel Sehun with his nut throwing made me giggle and I squealed over Jongdae's kids; Irene, Joy, Seulgi and Wendy.

I felt a certain melancholy from the start? I don't know why maybe it's because of unconscious Baekhyun slowly disappearing into the forest? Either way it's a very bittersweet story and although you could feel an ending it still is such a beautiful love story.

How perfect are your Baekhyun and Jongdae and how perfect are they together? It's what makes it even more sad when they have to part.

I loved the ambiguous ending. It leaves room for multiple interpretations, in my opinion! I know that later today, I will still be thinking about your fic and all possible endings :)

This was so beautiful! I really like how you interpreted my prompt! I felt that your story really captured the essence of the song perfectly. I nearly screamed when I saw dryad Jongdae in the summary. I really enjoy stories like this TTTT I always liked a bit of angst and this was just perfect!

The way you introduced bBaekhyun was really just A++ and the banter between baekchen..... /sighs happily/ All the subtle mentions and appearances of the other members, from Sehun the squirrel brat to Kyungsoo the irritable monster, and RV were so cute argh. Joonmyun as the manga reading tree boss though hahahah

Also, the ending!!! It hit me in all the right places istg i particularly liked

Half of Jongdae wishes Baekhyun would call him his home because in a way, Jongdae’s found a home in Baekhyun. But Baekhyun just nods, jerkily, hiccupping softly as tears fall from his eyes. People were never meant to become homes, in the first place.it just summed up the story so well i

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was worried you wouldn't like too much angst so I tried to keep it a bit fun and fluffy, too, but the prompted songs gave me such /angsty/ vibes and I just ended up going for it! I love love love bantering Baekchen like that's what makes them /Baekchen/ you know. The ending I envisioned was that it was basically Jongdae's time to go, although the last bit happens a long time after Baekhyun left (or rather woke up out of his coma) and Suho knew it the moment he set eyes on Baekhyun! (I feel like that doesn't make any sense haha)
