(no subject)
So um, my eyes hurt from crying right now, and I feel like this didn't really happen, I dreamed this perfect version of the 100th episode EXCEPT OH WAIT, IT WAS ACTUALLY REAL, AND BETTER THAN ANY DREAM I HAD ABOUT IT EVER. Expectations - smashed. Heart - smashed.
I tried to write a running commentary as it was going, but that was mostly full of things like "IT'S MADE OF FERMENTED CANNABIS" and "BRB I HAVE TURNED ITNO APUDDLE OG GOO, I CANT TYPE, THEY MADE OUT, OMG FOREEVR, CRYING" so I ended up giving up. AND I'VE WATCHED IT TWICE.
ANYWAY THOUGHTS.
• "I'd ask you out if I could." "Why can't you?" "Well, FBI rules again. No fraternising with other agents or consultants." "That's too bad." "Glad you think so." AND THEIR GENERAL FLIRTINESS, OH MY EFFING GOD THEY WERE LIKE TEENAGERS WITH CRUSHES.
• GETTING DRUNK TOGETHER OH GOD.
• HE STARTED WEARING FLASHY TIES BECAUSE OF WORKING WITH HER.
• "If we don't work together anymore, we could have sex." "I'll call a cab."
• HE TOLD HER ABOUT HIS GAMBLING PROBLEM BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE THEY WERE GOING SOMEWHERE. BECAUSE HE KNEW HE LOVED HER FROM THE MOMENT HE SAW HER.
• BEFORE THEY MADE OUT THEIR NOSES WERE TOUCHING FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND IT WAS ADORBS.
• THE MAKEOUT WAS REALLY HOT. REALLY REALLY HOT. HE SAID "WOW" AFTER IT FINISHED.
• "So you're afraid that when I look at you in the morning I'll have regrets?" "That would never happen."
• "Do you ever feel like you saw something great that almost happened but then it didn't?"
• THEM BICKERING FOR THE REST WAS ADORABLE, until the part where she slapped him and said she hated him and their faaaaaaaaaaaaaces omg.
• BOOTH'S FACE WHEN SHE SAID "WE'RE NOT IN LOVE."
• The rest of it destroyed me, I was crying so hard. "I want to give this a shot." "You mean us?" AAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
• BRENNAN, OH MY DEAR LORD, YOU HAVE BROKEN MY HEART INTO A THOUSAND MILLION BILLION ITTY BITTY PIECES. I am not even kidding, when she said that Booth needed protecting from her, I died. You can tell she totally believes she is not worthy of him and that she doesn't deserve the kind of love that he is offering her. Most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen. The way she choked out "I don't have your kind of open heart."
• "You know when you talk to older couples who have been in love for 30, 40, 50 years, it's always the guy who says 'I knew.' I knew, right from the beginning. I'm that guy, Bones, I'm that guy. I know.
• PLEASE DON'T LOOK SO SAD
• HER FACE WHEN SHE SAYS "CAN WE STILL WORK TOGETHER" AND HE DOESN'T ANSWER RIGHT AWAY, OH GOD.
• BOTH OF THEM SUBTLY WIPING AWAY THEIR TEARS
• "I have to move on, I have to find someone who's going to love me in 30, 40, 50 years." "I know."
The issues I always have with Bones is that they tend to skirt around issues like the attraction between B/B without actually addressing them, and it gets to a point where you're like "I need a breakdown or a fight, I need some acknowledgment of this." THIS WAS WHAT I NEEDED.
ALSO THERE WAS SO MUCH OTHER GREAT STUFF IN THE EPISODE, RANDOM RAVOURITE PARTS: Brennan slamming the bat into Zack, I loled so hard. And when Brennan punched that guy in the nose, I love how she did it once, the guy started kind of coming towards her again and she just went for it a second time. Also Hodgins with anger management issues! His haaaaaaaaaaair! Angela's start at the lab! Zack being there! CAAAAAAAAAAAAAM BEING THE ONE THAT REALLY STARTED OFF THE WHOLE TEAM.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE MORE THAN ANYTHING.
