Title: Homesick
Characters: Scotty, a little bit of Scotty/Enterprise XD

Summary: When Scotty starts feeling homesick for Scotland, he turns to his one and only for support. Well, two one and onlys.
A/N : Um, yes, well, when I finished the first draft it was 350 words. *facepalm* There was so much cutting that I hope it still makes sense.
For a man whose life was aerospace engineering and whose lady was a Federation vessel, he sure did miss home a lot. Okay, just a little.
Scotty hadn't had much contact with his family in the past few months as his parents were doing a second honeymoon on Earth's moon and his little sister had just boarded USS Regal for a three year mission. Normally, it wouldn't bother him too much, but he did receive a short transmission from his sister the day before. He never received transmissions from family. It lasted fifteen seconds and said just the basics: how are you, this is what I've been doing, and I miss you.
Bottle of whiskey in his hand, Scotty walked slowly into the Enterprise's deepest engine rooms. He couldn't find peace in his private quarters, but he knew he could achieve it down here. He put the bottle to his lips for a deep pull as he opened the door, the loud noises flooding his ears. Even though he was used to the volume, it helped dull the pains of home. Green grass, rolling hills, endless supplies of booze...
Stop thinkin' about it, he thought, walking further into the engine room.
